Chagall to Malevich: The Russian Avant-Gardes

26 Feb-26 June. The Albertina examines Russia's contribution to the avant-garde period, between 1910 and 1920, when modernism advanced at a rapid pace and embraced numerous styles.

The exhibition showcases the diverse movements from the era, including primitivism, cubo-futurism and suprematism, providing chronological parallels between figurative expressionism and pure abstraction.

On display are 130 works by Chagall, Goncharova, Kandinsky, Larionov and Malevich.
