5-10 Sept 2006. Russias legendary Bolshoi Ballet returns to Copenhagen for the first time in 40 years with performances of Swan Lake and The Bright Stream on the big stage at the Opera House. Tchaikovskys classical romantic ballet is directed and choreographed by Youri Grigorovitj, while the more modern The Bright Stream (1935), set to music by Shostakovic, has been revived by the Bolshois new artistic director Alexei Ratmansky, once a member of the Royal Danish Ballet. The Royal Danish Orchestra is conducted by Pavel Sorokin. Admission Swan Lake Dkk920-Dkk120, Bright Stream Dkk690-Dkk90.
