4 September 2010 - 30 January 2011. Robert Allen Zimmerman, or Bob Dylan as he is better known, has long been hailed as a talented songsmith, a poet, some might even say prophet; something he is less well known for however is his ability to paint.

The National Gallery of Denmark seeks to highlight this lesser known facet of the latter day Renaissance man with a show of 40 new canvasses painted by Dylan specifically for the Danish exhibition. Inspired by his travels in Brazil, Dylan set about capturing the spirit of the country. The narrative quality present in the works reflects the artist's simple but highly effective gift for telling a story.
