For cycling enthusiasts, the Berlin 6-day race, now in its 95th year, is an annual highlight on the sporting calendar. The race has been hosted for the past 10 years by the Berlin Velodrom, which packs in 70,000 spectators over the six days. Testing competitors stamina, endurance and skill, the race attracts some of the worlds best speed cyclists. The programme begins at 18.00 every day except Sunday, which is Family Day Familientag when events run from 10.00-17.00. Of special note is the Lange Nacht the Long Night on 27 Jan, when racing continues into the small hours, typically finishing between 2.00-3.00 in the morning. Food and drink stands at the Velodrom have everything from snacks to gourmet meals on offer during the race. Admission 30-35 Lange Nacht 30-49. Daily 18.00-1.15.
