22 July - 04 October 2009. The 90th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus movement is celebrated with an exhibition of work by the Bauhaus masters and their students. The comprehensive display is organised in conjunction with the Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin, the Bauhaus Foundation in Dessau and the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. The spartan but practical functionality incorporated into the timeless Bauhaus designs had an enduring and profound influence on the world of architecture and design before its forced closure in 1933.
