26 Jan-24 March 2006. The 11th edition of the BarnaSants International Singer-Songwriter Festival presents almost 50 concerts in venues all over Barcelona. There is an eclectic mix of Cantautors on offer, such as the Frank Zappa-inspired band El Sobrino del Diablo, Italian singer Gianmaria Testa and former Euro-parliamentarian Gorka Knrr, whose performance includes Leonard Cohens Suzanne in Catalan. Modern-day troubadours such as Antonio Vega, Aute and Ismael Serrano are also taking part. Venues include the Auditor, Coxteres de Sants, the Harlem Jazz Club, the Palau de la Musica, Zacarias Club, Teatre Joventut and Luz de Gas. A BarnaSants highlight is the Inti Illimani and Quilapayun concert at the Palau dEsports-BTM on 5 March. Admission 8-36. Concert times also vary usually 22.00, Sun 19.00.
