Babylon. Myth and Reality.

13 Nov 2008-15 Mar 2009. After Berlin, London pays tribute to the historical and cultural importance of Babylon with this exhibition, which brings together a rich and varied treasure trove of nearly 400 works, on loan from collections coming from 13 countries. Spanning 3,000 years, from the end of the 2nd millennium BC to the beginning of the 20th century, this event reconciles the legend of Babylon with its history and explores the myth of Babel, its rise and fall, and the true facts surrounding the ancient city of Babylon.
