Kastrup airport is expecting a 2.5 per cent increase in passengers by the end of 2005, slightly below the 3 per cent forecast at mid-year. However, in October the number of passengers was up by 8.2 per cent over the same month in 2004, with 140,247 more travellers passing through the airport to make a total of 1.85 million, almost all of them on international flights. In 2004, 19 million passengers passed through Copenhagen airport. Low-cost airlines Easyjet and Virgin Express fly into Kastrup.
