A report commissioned by Madrid regional government has revealed a decline in the numbers of foreigners arriving in the Spanish capital in search of work. Providing an overview of the foreign communities in Madrid, the study was based on the number of immigrants registered with the 179 mayoral offices in the Madrid region up to 1 January 2009.
