22 March-9 April 2006. The Dutch National Ballet presents Swan Lake at the Het Muziektheater. Choreographer and former artistic director Rudi van Danzig has kept the spectacular Black Swan pas de deux with its 32 fouetts from Marius Petipas and Lev Ivanovs original while giving a new interpretation to the character of Prince Seigfried, the ballets central male figure. Paintings by 17th- century Dutch masters inspired the set and costumes designed by Toer van Schayk. Tchaikovskys score is performed by the Holland Symfonia, conducted by Ermanno Florio. Admission 50-20, concessions 40-15. Performances 22, 24, 29, 30 March and 4, 5, 6, 8 April at 19.30. Matinees 26 March, 1, 2, 9 April at 14.00.
