Drink-driving has caused 26 road collisions in Jersey so far this year, one more than the total figure for last year. Approximately 3,000 vehicles have been stopped and more than 100 drivers breathalysed as part of Jersey's summer drink-drive crackdown. The latest initiative has not been publicised, in contrast to similar campaigns, which are held every year at Christmas and during the summer tourist season. So far, ten drivers have been caught over the limit.
