The first Eurostar High Speed 1 trains are due to travel on the new London St Pancras-Brussels or Paris routes on 14 November. Leaving from the new St Pancras International rail terminal in central London, the High Speed 1 trains will cut journey times by at least 20 minutes, bringing London-Brussels travel time to just one hour 51 minutes. Travelling at an average speed of 300kph, the new high-speed trains are set to give airline companies a run for their money as flight delays, baggage problems and concerns about air pollution influence travellers
