Harry and Meghan: 'Great Britain should come to terms with its colonial past.'

The statement was made during a meeting of the Queenʼs Commonwealth Trust.

"Equality," explained Meghan, "does not make everyone take a step backwards but puts us all in the same position."

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan encouraged Britain to come to terms with its colonial past and "make up for past mistakes".

"When you look at the Commonwealth, there is no way forward unless we recognize the past," Harry remarked at a meeting of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust.

Similarly Meghan added: "Now we will have to be a little uncomfortable, because it is only by going through this discomfort that we will get out of it and find the place where a rising tide lifts all the boats. Equality does not make everyone take a step backwards but puts us all in the same position, which is a fundamental human right.
