Parking at all five Park & Ride sites across Oxford is now free of charge. The move follows the transfer of Park & Ride site management from the Oxford city council to Oxfordshire county council on a ten-year lease agreement. Councillors are optimistic that the free parking will be an added incentive for people to use public transport when accessing the city centre. The Park & Ride sites are at Redbridge, Pear Tree, Seacourt, Water Eaton and Thornhill.
