Jeff Wall: Tableaux, Pictures, Photographs, 1996

The Louisiana hosts an exhibition of almost 40 works by celebrated Canadian photographer Jeff Wall.

The show focuses on Wall’s work since 1996, including recent photographs in colour and black and white, and the diptych Summer Afternoons (2013).

Key to the exhibition is the year 1996 which marked a changing point in Wall's career and saw him produce black and white prints on paper.

Wall is best known for his large-scale works exploring themes between men and women, the boundaries between the urban environment and the natural world, and social commentary on violence and cultural miscommunication.
