Galerie Karsten Greve presents an exhibition of works on paper by the American artist Cy Twombly.
The show comprises a series of works produced since the end of the 1950s. Twombly had a long association with the Parisian gallery which hosted his first one-man show there in 1975.
Many of the works were created in Twombly's adopted Italy, in Rome and Sperlonga, a small coastal town half way between the Italian capital and Naples.
Born Edwin Parker "Cy" Twombly Jr in 1928, the artist relocated to Rome in 1957 where he lived until his death there in 2011. See obituary.
