The Teddy Bear Story

A touring exhibition of teddy bears comes to the Ark in Temple Bar from the V&A Museum of Childhood in London.

Highlights of this sentimental and unusual exhibition include rare and famous teddy bears, from the original German Steiff model through to more modern Were Bears and Care Bears, and even the teddy bear of U2 frontman Bono.

There is also a display of large photographs from Mark Nixon's Much Loved teddy bear book, as well as some war-time Irish versions of the cuddly toy on loan from Dublin's Dolls Store Hospital & Museum.

The Ark encourages younger visitors to bring along their own teddy bears, who get in for free.

Sat 10.00-17.00. Sun 12.00-17.00. Also open 17-21 Feb Mon-Fri 10.00-17.00
