23 June-12 Sept. The exhibition of photographs by internationally-recognised Swiss photographer Daniel Schwartz focuses on the geographical, historical and political landscape of Afghanistan and Central Asia.

In modern times large areas of the region, which extends from the Caspian Sea to the deserts of western China and from Kazakhstan in the north to Pakistan and Iran in the south, has been the scene of much conflict.

With this exhibition, Schwartz uses his camera lens to examine the vast region from European, Chinese, Persian and Arab perspectives, adding his trademark element of humanity to traditional documentary photography.

His work has been exhibited around the world and in addition to his Berlin exhibition, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Arts is currently showing a series of his Afghanistan images.
