14 October - 31 July. The Copenhagen Museum presents a major exhibition relating to the disposal and recycling of the city's refuse.

It highlights the city's distant past when rubbish was abandoned in open dumps, or further back when there were no landfills and people just dumped waste on the streets - the archaeological discoveries of today.

In 2009 Copenhagen residents disposed of about one million tons of garbage, almost a third of which was incinerated.

This exhibition, which is itself composed of rubbish and recycled materials, invites children and adults to confront Copenhagen
