Pride and Prejudice

The Gate Theatre celebrates the 200th anniversary of the publication of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice by staging a performance of the play, adpated by James Maxwell.

Set in early 19th-century England, the story follows the five Bennett sisters and comes to life when the feisty Elizabeth Bennett meets the dashing Mr Darcy.

The production is revised by Alan Stanford, the veteran English-born actor and director who has a long association with the Gate, and was last seen by the theatre's audiences 12 years ago.

With Lorna Quinn, Aoibhín Garrihy, Stephen Brennan and Sam O’Mahony.
