28 May - 3 October 2010. Trinity College can trace its links with South East Asia as far as back as 1762, when the Chair of Oriental Languages was established. By examining the library's wealth of associated books and documents from the 19th and early 20th century, this exhibition appraises India's historical ties between Trinity College, Ireland, Britain and Europe.

The exhibits can be found in the college's prestigious Long Room. Lined by 48 marble busts, the room contains one of the few remaining copies of the 1916 Proclamation of the Irish Republic and Ireland
