13 Oct-26 Feb. The Louisiana hosts an exhibition by Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010), the French-American artist best known for her large-scale sculpture and installation art.
The exhibition focuses on her Cells, a series of imaginative spatial installations which she created in her late 70s. Each Cell plays on the multiple interpretations of the term, and explores themes such as history, pain, passion and memory.
The 25 Cells on display are on loan from international collections and are made from a variety of materials including glass, wire mesh and wood.
The exhibition also features a selection of smaller sculptures, paintings and drawings by Bourgeois.
