Living in the Amsterdam School

9 April-28 Aug. The Stedelijk showcases the furniture and interior designs of the Amsterdam School, an acclaimed anti-rationalist movement between the two world wars. The Amsterdam School was known internationally for its expressive but functional designs which incorporated rich colours and sculptural details.

The more than 500 works on display include furniture, lamps, clocks, ceramics, textiles and graphic designs for wallpaper, by architects, sculptors and designers such as Jaap Gidding, Michel de Klerk, Piet Kramer, Hildo Krop and Marie Kuyken.
