José Antonio Suárez Londoño: Musetrario

The first major solo exhibition in Europe devoted to Colombian artist José Antonio Suárez Londoño is a retrospective of his work since the 1970s.

The show features works of varying media and formats by the artist who produces small-scale prints, drawings and sketchbooks, and is credited with reinventing the role of drawing and representation Columbia.

The exhibition reflects the continuity that underpins his work, the relentless and prodigious creative output in his native Medellín, where he prints etchings in his workshop and teaches a weekly portrait drawing classes.

Suárez Londoño's work has been shown at the Venice Biennial and the Drawing Center New York, and is included in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) collection as well as being held in numerous private collections.
