16 - 27 November. The annual International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) returns with a top class programme of international documentaries.

One of the most prestigious events of its kind in the world, the festival's many European and world premieres comprise a large variety of genres with an emphasis on politics.

Filmmakers are on hand to hold master classes and workshops, and there are also debates with the audience. Founded in 1988, the festival screens some 300 documentaries over eleven days in Amsterdam. Tickets can be purchased at cinemas and ticket offices across the city.
