Imagining the Divine: The Holy Family in Art

26 Nov-1 April. The National Gallery presents an exhibition that focuses on how artists through the ages have chosen to depict the early life of Christ.

The show comprises 13 paintings and drawings from the 15th- to the 19th centuries, including works by artists such as Guercino, Lorenzo di Credi and Murillo.

Highlights include an early Renaissance painted relief of the Virgin and Child from the workshop of Florentine sculptor Lorenzo Ghiberti, and The Dawn of Christianity: The Rest on the Flight into Egypt by JMW Turner, on loan from the Ulster Museum.
