13 June 2010 - 6 January 2011. Like a magpie, Dutch fashion designer and performance artist Aziz Bekkaoui is attracted to all that glitters. With this (literally) dazzling exhibition, Bekkaoui examines the important role that gold has played throughout history, by juxtaposing the classic collection of the Catharijneconvent Museum, comprising gold-embellished paintings, sculptures, chalices and vestments, with contemporary bling: namely his own collection of gold medallions, golden clothes, even a gold laptop.
