Gender@war 1914-1918 : Women and Men in World War I

8 Sept-10 Jan. Exhibition reflecting on how world war one affected the position of men and women in society, with a particluar focus on Belgium but also on Britain, France and Germany.

The exhibition examines how family life, in particular for women, was ruptured when the home front was replaced by the war front. Also examined are the social, political and economic rights of women during the war.

The show is presented in three languages: English, Dutch and French.

Mon 09.30-17.00 (for groups with reservation), Tues-Fri 09.30-17.00, Sat-Sun 10.00-18.00.
