Facing the Future: Art in Europe 1945-68

24 June-25 Sept. This exhibition comprises around 180 works created between 1945 and 1968 by artists from Europe and the former Soviet Union, providing an overview of the post-war artistic trends in eastern and western Europe.

The show reveals how artists on both sides of the Iron Curtain experimented in similar ways: from traditional media to action-painting, conceptual and sound art.

The exhibition is held in collaboration with the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, and includes works by Fernand Léger, Vladimir Tatlin, Gerhard Richter and Pablo Picasso.

Tues-Sat 10.00-18.00 Thurs 10.00-21.00
