Emmet Gowin's photography is concerned with themes such as sexuality, love and relationships, all of which are portrayed in a sensitive, intimate style and often feature his wife Edith.
In recent years his work has reflected his fascination for insects, in particular tropical moths which he photographs regularly in Latin America.
In 2012 Fundación Mapfre invited Gowin to photograph Andalusia, with some of the aerial photographs he took being displayed for the first time in this exhibition.
