Death Matters

Until 26 August. Although far from being a cheery subject for an exhibition, death is an inevitable part of life and its effects must be faced by everyone.

Death Matters examines how people from different parts of the world cope with death and grief by offering a wide range of stories and experiences.

Visitors are presented with the morbid concept of how they would like to say farewell, and they can contribute to the exhibition by particpating in the "One Minute" videos.

Housing 340,000 eclectic objects from around the world, the Tropenmuseum offers a mix of ethnography with popular and contemporary art.
