Collecting the Past: Scholars’ Taste in Chinese Art

21 March-22 Oct. Exhibition featuring a range of Chinese paintings, collected by Chinese scholars and artists since the 18th century.

The works are displayed alongside artists' tools such as brush pots, inkstones (used for grinding inksticks) and water droppers (used to create liquid ink), as well as so-called scholar’s rocks: natural or shaped rocks traditionally appreciated by Chinese scholars.

Tues-Wed 10.00-17.00. Thurs-Sat 10.00-19.00. Sun 12.00-17.00. Mon closed.
