Bourgeois Leftovers

The exhibition presents 32 Dutch genre paintings "leftover" from the current display dedicated to the Van Abbemuseum collection, established in 1936 by Dutch cigar manufacturer Henri van Abbe.

Produced between around 1910 and 1939, these portraits, landscapes and still life paintings are exhibited alongside works from contemporary artists.

This unlikely combination creates multiple narratives, prompts a range of questions, and forces visitors to view the art works out of context.

Tues-Sat 12.00-20.00, Sun 12.00-18.00.
