Vienna drinking fountains

Vienna has once again installed large mobile drinking fountains throughout the city.

They are connected to the Spring Water Main, which dates back to 1873 and still provides about 40 per cent of the city's water.

They have been installed in Graben, Heldenplatz, Parkring, Rathhausplatz, Paterstern, Resselpark and Mariahilfer.

The three-metre high tubular structures were first installed in the summer of 2008 to cope with the crowds for the UEFA football final.
