Paris to London by bike

A new cycle path links Paris and London just in time for the start of the Olympic Games at the end of July. The path begins at Notre Dame and ends on Westminster Bridge.

There are two possible routes, one through the Epte Valley and the other through Beauvais, both using the Dieppe to Newhaven ferry.

In due course the whole 240-mile route will be off the main roads, along river and canal paths, disused railway embankments and country lanes, but only about a third of it is at the moment.

Other cycle routes out of Paris are planned, the first being to Mont-St-Michel in Normandy.
