Oxford residents have a variety of new options for paying their council tax, rent accounts and parking permit fees. Bills can now be paid by direct debit, standing orders, via the internet, by telephone or by post, as well as at the local post office, Co-operative shops and any shop offering Paypoint facilities. The new council tax bills, complete with a three per cent price hike, are being sent out in mid-March. The new measures follow the closure of the Payment and Parking shop in the city centre on 16 March.
