Oxfordshire county council is installing more than 150 new bike racks around the centre of Oxford. The council has worked closely with the local pressure group Cyclox to identify areas of greatest need for Oxfords large population of cyclists. Gloucester Street, Keble Road, Little Clarendon Street, Oriel Square and Worcester Street are among the sites to benefit from the new bike parking facilities. New racks have already been installed in Broad Street and work on installing the other racks should be finished by 23 December. The council plans to add more bike parks next summer.
