Targeting prostitutes clients, some 2,000 posters, 100,000 pamphlets and 40,000 postcards will be used to spread the campaigns message, Because you pay, prostition exists, at a cost of 80,000. The publicity blitz is to last two weeks and walls of public buildings and the underground will be used in the poster campaign. The initiative falls within the framework of the councils programme against exploitation, which saw almost 500 women approach its mobile unit for prostitute care and support for help over the past year.
